About Sarah
I knew from high school age that I wanted to pursue a career in film. At the time I had no idea what that meant, no idea the amount of work I was committing myself to, and no idea the level of tenacity I would later prove to myself as I relentlessly followed my dreams. I completed a degree at a tiny college in the middle of nowhere, that just so happened to have a film program. This is where I locked in my dreams of one day being a cinematographer/director. In March of 2021 I relocated to Los Angeles in pursuit of a career in cinematography!
In 2015/2016, I was Pacific Union College's video yearbook editor. I managed a small production team who regularly produced content promoting on campus events and the school's atmosphere.
After graduating from Pacific Union College in 2018, I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film I started my career by filming commercials and small form work such as: wedding videography, travel videography, short films, promotionals, and spot-light documentary pieces.
In 2020 before Coronavirus really became serious, my senior thesis Charlie screened at Sundance Film Festival. It has won Audience choice and Best in fest at three festivals. I am looking to produce the feature version I have written.
Most recently I worked as a Loader on Showtime’s hit series “Your Honor”. Since moving to LA, I joined the Local 600 and I’ve worked as a Digital Utility/Loader on a variety of shows for Netflix, Hulu, Apple, and Universal. I continue to work non-union as a DP when time allows!
My goal in the next three years is to direct my first feature, Charlie, and spread my name as not just a cinematographer, but a writer/director as well.
